Just to inform you, the best of Christ is residing inside you! As lead pastor and overseer of Voice of Truth Fellowship Church, I welcome you to visit us for our Sunday services so that we may fellowship together and experience the love of God. It is with heartfelt joy that we choose to become an instrument of servitude to you. As we meditate on the topic, "Where should we go when we get discouraged?," the following scripture comes to mind:
"not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." -Hebrews 10:25
It is the enemy's job to get you so discouraged that you lose your desire and passion for God and His fellowship with the other members of the Body of Christ. He wants you to feel extremely down, defeated, depressed, and discouraged. That is the Greek meaning of the word "forsaking." This usually happens when you have been fighting a long hard battle that has extended its stay. The enemy is trying to get you to forsake the fellowship of being connected and committed. "Out of fellowship" means "out of His presence." Fellowship with other believers is essential for everyone, and that includes YOU!
You can receive encouragement from other believers that you cannot obtain anywhere else. Satan knows that if you go to church you will be touched by the presence of God and in the end you will crawl out of that hole that the enemy orchestrated for you demise. Affectionately God will raise you to your place of heavenly VICTORY!!
Hebrews 10:25 could be translated as:
"When you're feeling down and depressed – like a failure who is falling behind everyone else–that isn't the time to stay away from other believers, as some are in the habit of doing. That is the time to seek out your brothers and sisters in Christ so that they may uplift you in your time of darkness for God's love is light."
From your fellow believers who believe in you: Stay the course and move forward!
